Once again, we received an overwhelming number of nominations for the Reasons to Believe Alumni Awards. Although we can't select every deserving nominee, we are grateful for the opportunity to learn about so many exceptional KCKPS alumni and their accomplishments.
We have notified the selected 2026 honorees, and we look forward to celebrating the individuals whose achievements, service, and leadership continue to inspire and make a lasting impact on our students, schools, and community.

About Reasons to Believe
Each year, members of the KCKPS community are nominated by their peers, friends, family members, and colleagues for achievements, leadership, service, and life stories that inspire others. A panel of community judges thoughtfully reviews the nominations and helps select the individuals who will receive this special recognition.
Through the Reasons to Believe Alumni Awards, the KCKS Foundation for Excellence honors distinguished alumni, educators, and community advocates who have demonstrated excellence in their professions, made a meaningful difference in others' lives of others, and created a lasting impact through their leadership and service.
Honorees may be recognized for professional achievement, educational leadership, advocacy, public service, innovation, mentorship, or transformational contributions within Kansas City, Kansas, and the communities they serve.
Through their perseverance, character, and commitment to others, Reasons to Believe honorees embody the values of KCKPS and the Foundation. Their stories celebrate what they have accomplished while inspiring current and future generations to believe in what is possible.
