Justin Strickland

Justin Strickland is an academic services professional dedicated to helping students discover their potential and achieve their higher education goals. He currently serves as a 4-H Field Specialist with the University of Missouri Extension and as a Site Coordinator for KU GEAR UP, where he develops youth curriculum, recruits volunteers, and advises high school students on academic rigor, college readiness, and career pathways.
Previously, Justin served as Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach, and Resident Mentor at Kansas Christian College, where he recruited student-athletes globally and built systems for their academic, personal, and spiritual success. He also led youth-focused initiatives as Life Enrichment Director with the Urban Scholastic Center, helping first-generation and at-risk students prepare for college and life beyond the classroom.
A graduate of Culver-Stockton College with a B.S. in Sport Management and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Theological Studies in Leadership, Justin is also the founder of the H.O.P.E. Institute, a leadership development program designed to equip young people with diverse perspectives and practical skills for success.
