Debbie Swearingen-Lyles
Debra D. Swearingen is a visionary banking executive with over 25 years of experience driving market growth, building strategic relationships, and fostering community impact. As Market President for Lead Bank in Kansas City since 2015, she has overseen loan growth, credit analysis, and corporate initiatives, including the Physician Mortgage Loan program and the “For Change Initiative” with the City of Kansas City, Missouri.
Previously, Debra served as Vice President of Private Banking at Arvest Bank, Senior Vice President at UMB Bank, and held leadership positions at Commerce Bank, Firstar Bank, and First Savings Bank, consistently expanding loan portfolios, originating millions in commitments, and delivering results during challenging economic periods.
A dedicated community leader, Debra actively serves on boards including the Newhouse Shelter, Salvation Army Advisory, 20/20 Leadership, Johnson County Arts Council, and the Kansas Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation. She has held leadership roles in CREW KC, the Hope for Homeless Campaign, and numerous local chambers of commerce, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to civic engagement.
Debra earned a Bachelor of General Studies in Business Organizational Communication from the University of Kansas and holds a Kansas Real Estate License. Her professional accomplishments include multiple top sales awards, completion of the FBI Citizens Academy, and certification as a Qualified Financial Planner (QFP).
