Brenda Chabot

Brenda Chabot has dedicated more than three decades to helping Kansas City, Kansas students grow in confidence, character, and academic achievement. A 1990 graduate of J.C. Harmon High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Emporia State University and a master’s degree from Baker University. She now serves as a sixth-grade mathematics teacher, team leader, and volleyball coach at Arrowhead Middle School.
Known for building strong relationships while maintaining high expectations, Brenda creates an environment where students feel seen, supported, and capable of succeeding. Her influence extends beyond the classroom through coaching, mentoring new teachers, collaborating with colleagues, and continuing to celebrate former students long after they leave her care. She received the STAR Teacher Award in 2018 and was named Arrowhead Middle School’s 2026 Teacher of the Year. Brenda’s commitment to students, families, and fellow educators reflects a lifetime of service to the KCKPS community.
