Nancy Hamil-Beacham is a dedicated educator with more than 30 years of experience specializing in secondary mathematics and social emotional learning. Known for her caring nature, loyalty, and exemplary work ethic, Nancy has devoted her career to serving the Kansas City, KS community through her long-standing commitment to Kansas City Kansas Public Schools (USD 500).
Nancy began her career as a 9-12 Mathematics Instructor at Wyandotte High School before transitioning to school counseling roles at Coronado Middle School and Wyandotte High School. Currently, she serves as Lead High School Counselor for the district—a position she has held since 2016—and continues to support students as a Summer School Counselor and Mathematics Instructor.
Beyond her work in public schools, Nancy has facilitated college readiness programs and taught as an adjunct mathematics instructor at Kansas City Kansas Community College and Sanford Brown College. She has also contributed to youth development as a Program Facilitator for the SEPA Camp Pathological Summer Program at KUMed and as a Residential Counselor and Mathematics Instructor for the KU MED CNTR Health Career Pathways Program, where she provided supervision, mentoring, and support for high school students.
Nancy holds a Master of Science in School Counseling from Emporia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Avila College, along with Kansas certifications in K-12 Counseling and 7-12 Mathematics. Her unwavering dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and the broader community.
