Moses “Coach Mo” Wyatt Jr. is a lifelong educator, coach, and community advocate whose career spans more than 25 years of service to youth and families in Wyandotte County. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Jegna Klub, Inc., a Kansas City, Kansas–based nonprofit dedicated to “building youth for the future” through job and workforce development, with an emphasis on multimedia, TV, and radio broadcasting, as well as audio engineering. Since its founding in 2020, Jegna Klub has empowered young people with skills, mentorship, and opportunities to take on leadership roles. In August 2025, youth interns from Jegna Klub’s Connecting the Dottes program stood before the Unified Government Commission to receive the prestigious Dotte Proud Recognition—an achievement that, as Coach Mo describes, “flipped the script” by affirming and inspiring youth who often only associated City Hall with negative experiences.
Alongside his nonprofit leadership, Coach Mo serves as a Behavior Intervention Specialist at Grant Elementary School, where he designs academic, social, and emotional interventions for K–12 students facing challenges related to poverty, trauma, and language barriers. His work in education has spanned traditional, alternative, and special education settings, where he has consistently built supports to help students thrive. In recognition of his unwavering advocacy for youth, he was recently appointed as Youth Advocate Liaison to the Office of KCK Mayor Tyrone Garner.
Coach Mo’s leadership journey began as a student assistant coach and president of the Multicultural Student Organization at Independence Community College. He went on to coach at Arrowhead Middle School, where he led the football team and both boys’ and girls’ basketball teams for eight years, followed by four years as the head varsity boys’ basketball coach at Sumner Academy of Arts & Sciences. For 18 years, he also founded and directed the KC Wolves Basketball program, building a network of community partnerships while mentoring countless young athletes. Over his 24 years of coaching scholastic and amateur sports, he has developed a strong reputation for leadership, discipline, and nurturing young talent both on and off the court.
A servant leader at heart, Coach Mo is motivated by the guiding belief that he “must leave a place better than he found it.” Through his work in education, sports, nonprofit leadership, and advocacy, he continues to transform lives, strengthen communities, and pave the way for the next generation of leaders in Wyandotte County.
