Christopher Hullaby is an educator, mental performance coach, and scholar advocate who has built his career on helping students believe in their own potential. Through years of dedicated service in Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools and across the region, Christopher has proven himself to be a leader who inspires, uplifts, and transforms lives. He currently serves as a Scholar Advocate with Great Jobs KC, where he supports KC Scholars recipients in schools across the metro area. His work ensures that students from underrepresented backgrounds are equipped with the resources, guidance, and encouragement they need to access and succeed in college and career pathways. Christopher previously served as a College Advisor with the K-State College Advising Corps at Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas. In that role, he worked directly with students and families to raise college enrollment and completion rates, particularly for low-income and first-generation students. From 2021 to 2024, he also worked as a Project Research Specialist and Site Coordinator for the University of Kansas GEAR UP program, leading college readiness initiatives in KCKPS that reached hundreds of students through mentorship, academic planning, and personal development support.
He is the Founder and Owner of Mental Fitness Hub LLC, where he currently serves as a Mental Performance Coach. Christopher uses his training in psychology and sport performance to help athletes and young professionals improve focus, build confidence,and strengthen resilience. His mission is to help youth understand the power of their minds so they can perform at their best in all areas of life.
Christopher holds a Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Sport Psychology from Capella University, and earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kansas State University. While at K-State, he was a standout student leader in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where his impact was recognized on a national scale. In 2019, Christopher was awarded the National Undergraduate Guide Right Chairman of the Year, the fraternity's highest honor for excellence in youth outreach and mentorship. Under his leadership, the K-State chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi received the National Undergraduate Guide Right Chapter of the Year and the Province Chapter of the Year award. That same year, the chapter hosted a nationally broadcast virtual campus tour of Kansas State University to encourage young men from across the country to pursue higher education. Kappa Alpha Psi’s Guide Right program is a national youth-focused initiative that promotes academic achievement, career preparation, and mentorship. Christopher's leadership in this program reflects his lifelong commitment to service and his belief in reaching back to pull others forward.
