Adrion Roberson is a Kansas City native. Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, he has a deep appreciation for the community atmosphere that has been attributed to this area of the country. Adrion and his wife Vicky have been married for 42 years, have three sons, three daughters-in-law, and are the proud grandparents of six wonderful grandchildren.
Adrion has over 30 years of experience in both ‘for-profit’ and ‘not-for-profit’ business/academic sectors. He says, “The experiences I have gone through, I believe, have given me a definite advantage in being empathetic and sympathetic to deal with all levels of people”.
Adrion received his B.S. from Calvary University (2013), in the area of Urban Theology where he also served as a member of the Calvary University Executive Board. He serves on the faculty at the Kansas Leadership Center as a Faculty Chair and facilitator in Wichita, Ks. He is also the Pastor of Kingdom Community Church (an entity of the ReBuild Initiative, Atlanta, Ga.) He is the Executive Director/Co-Founder of KC UNITED! Youth/Family Sports & Education Initiative. He served on the Governors Criminal Justice Reform Committee and was recently named the 2019 recipient of the Governors Kansas Health Champions award. In 2020 he launched DESTINY! Consulting (B.H.C.) *Building. Human. Capacity. He recently has received his certification as a Biblical trauma healing facilitator through the Trauma Healing Institute.
In 2016 Pastor Adrion received his certificate in Ther Art & Practice Of Leadership Development from Harvard University. He is now certified as a member of the John Maxwell leadership team. In 2024 he will begin his Master’s degree program in Organizational Leadership – Leadership Coaching & Mentoring (Regents University)
Adrion’s strengths are in: Coaching/ Adaptive Thinking/Adaptive Leadership Development, Biblical Trauma Healing Facilitation, Facilitator for The Fathering Initiative, Conflict Management, Teamwork, Mentoring, Life-skill/Personal VALUE development and previously, Abstinence Until Marriage (Sex, Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco and Violence) and Urban Community Development. He is also a certified marriage/relationship trainer for “Love Thinks”. He also has over 20 years of HR/Training /Development experience
Mr. Roberson states, “We can no longer afford to act as if things will change if we do not deal with the issues. We can accomplish this by deliberately believing that a change of heart will bring about a change of mind only through the power of the gospel and Jesus Christ”.
